I am aware of the difference between Gmail's labels vs. Outlook's folders, but I would expect that Gmail does what is necessary to make the folders appear correct over the IMAP connection to Outlook. For example, if I drag a message from Outlook's All Mail folder to Trash, I see that message disappear from the Inbox folder after a short delay. Hence, the trashing of messages is registering on Gmail. It's just that the contents seem completely disconnected from what I see using webmail.

I work in a small company and for the past 2 weeks we've been having issues with customer support Outlook account. The account is used as IMAP in all customer support clients, every time you set up the mail in anyones computer troubleshoot Outlook synchronizing folders error it just sync 30-50GB ost files... And because of the size, this is making the mail simply stop working after one day of normal use, forcing the users to end outlook process to make the mail sync again properly... But only when you close/open the mail again.
IMAP folder sync issue in the new Outlook (moved emails not syncing to webmail)
The responsables of the mail told us to move all the mails from past years to a new account to reduce it's size, but after doing that it doesn't seems to be working. This problem isn't anything new, this happens every year or so, but this time it just isn't getting fixed. By reporting abuse, a moderator will be asked to review the content of this interaction to take further action, if necessary. Some reference links I read thru though I don't fully understand all of what is being discussed. I have not tried the add-on yet I am going to experiment.
But many users run into the problem where their important IMAP folders are not syncing or stop updating.It's not until I click on that folder I will then see the 10 and 3 and two second later it will sync and new ones will populate.After that, it is also important to secure your IMAP folder to prevent this issue from happening in the future.I am using TB for just three weeks now and I have issues daily when sending mail with no attachments the outgoing mail server will time out.Make a note of the values and delete an overwrite them also check your passwords for both SMTP and IMAP.I checked all 5 of the tabs in this window that expressions is not there.Wonder if the vpn is causing an issue.Perhaps something in TB needs to be tweaked.

I am also running QuickFolders and its the same nothing shows up on those tabs until i physically click on them. Ok so my mistake the Properties option is there when right how to fix Outlook not opening today clicking folder - I was only focused on right clicking on the email address to take me to server setting I was not clicking on the actual folder. I right click a folder and Properties and it take me to attached windows. I don't see - 'When getting new messages...
I checked all 5 of the tabs in this window that expressions is not there. This seems bizarre the email would not populate. A stable connection between your email client and email server depends on the syncing of your IMAP folder.
